FAQ
How Can You Benefit From Key Club?
By joining the Cypress Springs Highschool Key Club, you will be given the opportunity to be more involved with communities in and outside of school. By volunteering and interacting with other members, you can also improve your communication and social skills. Being a member of Key Club can also build your college apps because it shows you have an interest in building the community around you.
Can I use volunteer hours earned from other clubs?
NO, only if Key Club posted the opportunity, can you get it signed off on your service card. If you volunteer with another organization, you cannot sign it off as Key Club hours, but if Key Club was at that event as well, you may also sign it off as Key Club hours.
What can I do if I want to volunteer at outside events, but still want it on my service card?
Communicate with an officer! If you find a reputable event in or out of school, let us know so we can contact the organizer and get our club there. Officer emails and contact information can be found on the Key Club Website and through Remind.
What happens if I forget my service card at an event?
Take pictures! If you can show proof that you were at the event then you can get it signed off by our sponsor (Mr. Shied RM 1720) OR Volunteer Coordinator.
Do I retain Key Club membership after applying once?
Sadly, no :(. If you plan to be a member the following year, you must reapply for Key Club membership at the beginning of the school year!
